Speaking of Mindfulness...
Nov. 17th, 2007 02:15 pmSo B and I are at this conference where we're hearing all about the value of Mindfulness in decreasing distress, increasing well-being, etc. As we walk to dinner we're discussing the sessions about mindfulness we each attended, as we eat dinner (at Tai Lake in Philadelphia's chinatown. Try the Barbequed Scallops in their Shells, they were wonderful) we're discussing mindfulness a bit more, as we walk back to the hotel we're still discussing mindfulness. Then we notice an enormous two-story-tall Chinese gate painted in bright colors and decorated with gold leaf... On our way to dinner we walked through it without even noticing that it was there! So much for mindfulness.
It is being a good conference anyway. Some useful information, chatting with old friends, and good food. To top it off, I'm making good headway on writing an instruction manual for time travel (three methods for forward time travel, three methods for traveling back in time, and a self-rescue technique. all of which work). Stand by for future developments (heh heh).
