A good weekend
Sep. 7th, 2009 09:43 pmOccasionally having a weekend without travel or commitments - priceless.
Friday night we went dancing and had a good time even though we were a bit rusty. Saturday we slept in then went to the farmers market and a bunch of garage sales.
The farmers market at Shaker Square is always fun. Musicians playing, crafts for sale, baked goods, produce, meat, ... We ran into Angharad and her Mom (who seemed very nice). The Cuban empanadas we got were quite tasty. It turns out that a basket of blackberries is enough for 2 servings of Fresh Blackberries with Lemon Sabayon and 2 servings of Blackberry Cobbler (that was a good investment).
The garage sales were fun even though the tent we thought we were going to get for X didn't work out (the rain fly was missing).
We watched Adaptation (strange, interesting, and fun) as well as episodes of Buffy and Angel, sewed, and got some work done too.
Now back to reality.
