Alien moon

Last night the moon was truly amazing.  We were driving back from Huron as the full moon rose enormous and deep orange.  Just that can be pretty cool but there were invisible layers of clouds playing games.  At first we could only see the bottom 1/8 of the moon like an orange canoe in the sky over Cleveland.  A few minutes later we could see the top 1/4 and the bottom 1/4 of the moon but the middle was missing.  We lost sight of the moon behind trees for a while and when it came out half was visible cut diagonally straight through the middle.

Must be an omen of something.
