Oct. 5th, 2006 05:11 pmFunny how the party that trumpeted "family values" is now arguing that voters shouldn't be swayed by a sex scandal and a possible cover-up, that they should focus on the economy, etc. It would be much easier to respect their claims that they have the moral high ground if they took their professed values seriously all the time. Of course, they also oppose the deficit except when they're running up the deficit, oppose judicial activism except when it's conservative judicial activism, oppose government meddling in people's lives except when they're doing it, etc.
